Abstract

This paper presents a simple anti-reset windup scheme by software implementation of breaking the integration loop when the controller output saturates the valve. The proposed method is applicable to any open loop stable plants with saturating actuators and linear controllers. The proposed scheme does not impose any additional hardware incorporation and hence is suitable for industrial controllers. Realtime results on spherical tank are presented with and without windup implementation to show the effectiveness of the proposed anti-windup method.
