Abstract

Reasonable distribution line planning can reduce economic costs and minimise the likelihood of distribution network failures. This paper briefly introduces the line planning of the distribution network and the ant colony algorithm (ACA) used for line planning and optimised the ACA. After that, some blocks in Jiangxi province were selected as a case for the simulation experiment. The greedy algorithm, genetic algorithm (GA), and the improved ACA were compared in the experiment. The results showed that the improved ACA converged faster than the GA during optimisation, and the planning direction obtained was better than that of the greedy algorithm and GA.
