Modelling, fault diagnosis, hydraulic systems, on line process
The degree of consistency between the behaviour of a mathematical model and the actual system is one of the main concerns in developing models for real time diagnostic systems. For this reason the mathematical equations that describe the behaviour of the elements involved in the modelling process should take into consideration the technical specifications and function curves of the involved components to obtain parameter values given by the manufacturer after laboratory testing. This paper presents the procedure of using manufacturer's data for the development of a mathematical model used in an online expert system that diagnoses real time faults in hydraulic systems based on the deviation between the behaviour of dynamical model and actual system.
