TCP, Stochastic Model, Performance Evaluation
Understanding the nature of TCP behavior is critical in or der to properly engineer, operate, and evaluate the perfor mance of Internet, as well as to properly design and imple ment future networks. In this paper, we propose a complete and more accurate TCP performance prediction model in terms of packet loss rate, round-trip time, and maximum congestion window size. We show that under a wide range of packet loss rates, our model is up to more accurate than the model proposed in [1].
