Current web documents contain more and more dynamic content. Especially new XML based documents are more like applications than static documents. This sets requirements for the browsers. The documents can be handled by DOM interface in a browser. DOM supports also dynamic modifications. However, the modifications have to be delivered also to the layout engine in order to get rendered. This paper describes how we designed and implemented a dynamic layout document for an XML browser's XHTML component.
