MC-CDMA, OFDM, CPM, BER, multipath Rayleigh fading.
In this paper, we present a hybrid communication system based on Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) that employs the concept of Continuous Phase Modulation (CPM). The novel scheme is called OFDM CPM-CDMA. We describe the discrete-time structures of transmitter and receiver and evaluate performance for a reverse channel environment (mobile-base station) using an optimum multiple-symbol observation receiver over a 2-ray Rayleigh fading and additive white Gaussian noise channel. It is shown that the proposed system outperforms the conventional MC-CDMA schemes.
