In this paper we present a software architecture for a di agnostic module in the RoboCare multi-agent system 1 . We provide a domain conceptualization for the RoboCare project where autonomous robots cooperate to provide ser vices for elderly assistance. We focus the discussion in particular on the intelligent monitoring functionality, per formed by the Executor Monitor which is able to perform a temporal interpretation of messages coming from the robotic agents and from the intelligent sensors. The diag nostic process is partially performed by the Executor Moni tor (fault detection) and partially by the Fault Identification Module.
