The primary challenge for users of document retrieval sys tems is to create queries that are effective at retrieving all and only those documents that exactly meet the require ments of users. Consequently, there is a need for some methods that would enable users to navigate visually and to understand the query results. We introduce usage of property-based types as implemented in Easel for docu ment management and information retrieval. We introduce a formal method of navigation through query result. This navigation method is based on Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) and Easel property-based types (PBT).
