An analysis on traffic characteristics of network systems has been studied to guarantee the quality of services under the upper limit of mean response time is constrained. A new binding method is introduced to obtain the relation ship between input traffic and responsiveness. Numerical results show that the proposed method will give a signif icant insight for system designers to control input traffic regulation of network systems with multi-layered protocol.
