Abstract

The failures of AC electric motors and their reasons are many and diversified; hence the detection of the fault conditions are more efficient in cases of the combination of different diagnostic methods, such as mechanical, chemical, thermal and so on. The use of diagnostic methods is increasing the reliability, the efficiency and, also, the lifetime of the AC machines.
