Distribution Networks, Reconfiguration, Voltage Stability
In this paper an heuristic method for the reconfiguration of radial distribution networks for voltage stability increase is proposed. The reconfiguration is carried out by modify ing the network topology through the opening/closing of tie switches, based on information from voltage stability indices. The radial topology is maintained throughout the reconfiguration process. The voltage stability indices are computed very efficiently and provide precise information on the systems's voltage stability condition. Results of the application of the proposed method for 3 test systems and 1 realistic system are shown.
