Fuses, simulation, and protection system
This paper analyses fuses, which are the most difficult protection device to be evaluated. The fuses analysis also comprises new solutions, like the resettable type. The model considered is based on a physical-functional fuse behavior. A simulation tool has been presented, supporting protection design and optimization even in critical configurations, when simple over sizing is not applicable.
