It is the purpose of the present paper to identify and discuss pedagogical difficulties when arranging continuing education in the field of technology and pedagogy. The paper is problem posing rather than problem solving and is intended to stimulate course mangers’ reflective processes when planning web-based education. Included in the aim is also to exemplify what consequences web-based education might have on teachers and students at universities. The results are obtained mainly through course evaluations, observations and literature. The main contribution of the paper is the problematizing of continuing education, and as a consequence setting numerous questions in the center of attention for future course planners.
