Abstract

Web Services has proven to be a stable and effective way of integrating resources on cross-platform systems. Our Remote Laboratory, which is dedicated to electronic device education and research, is built upon this technology and provides the developers with an interface that is well structured and accessible for all Web application System Development Kits. To enhance the existing laboratory services and to create new experiments that are self-contained with respect to reading material and functionality, we have developed an eXtensible Markup Language structure and framework for dynamic creation of lab experiments. An architecture consisting of parsers, object managers, and a Universal Description Discovery and Integration server keeps track of the services and manages the hierarchy of experiments and categories.
