Road Profile, Vehicle, Observers, Sliding Mode.
This paper deals with an approach to estimate the road profile, by use of sliding mode observers. First, we present some results related to the validation of a full car modelization, by means of comparisons between simu lations results and experimental measurements (coming from a peugeot 406 test car). Then, we introduce the design of sliding mode observers for estimating the un known inputs which are the road profile variations acting on the four wheels.
