Gas Circuit Breaker (GCB), Total Variation Diminishing(TVD), Properties of SF6.
The successful numerical analysis of flow in gas circuit break depends on not only numerical schemes but also the properties of insulating medium. SF6 cannot be assumed to act as an ideal gas due to its thermodynamic properties. Some numerical schemes are introduced for total variation diminishing (TVD) and a methodology is described to consider the thermodynamic imperfectness of SF6. The computation results are compared with the experimental data.
