Track, Fastener , Rail Pad, Frequency, Vibration Control
As people seeking high speed traveling by trains, noise and vibration problem are becoming an important issue. Rail pad, baseplates, or cement-asphalt mortar has been adopted to alleviate vibrations. This research aims at the influence of “fastener-pad stiffness” on track vibration behavior. A vehicle-track vertically coupled model was built to simulate the dynamic responses. Dynamic responses of the track model were transformed into frequency spectrum to investigate the correlations between fastener-pad stiffness and track vibration. Preliminary guidelines of selecting appropriate pad are proposed.
