Learner-created digital learning material, Web-basedknowledge trading environment, motivation, recognitionand reward
The next Web-based Learning should not only be learner centered but also learner-created. We developed the Web based knowledge trading environment where a user can sell (produce) his/her knowledge and buy (consume) knowledge from other users by using virtual money. And then we experimentally used this environment in two university classes, expecting that the students would sell (create) their digital learning materials and learn more effectively with motivation. However, we could not obtain favourable results from the experimental use.
