Pressure Control, Sliding Mode Control
This paper presents a concept for the Sliding Mode Con trol design to a 3/3 pneumatic proportional pressure con trol valve. Based on a simplified model of the valve, a con trol law will be derived which can deal with inherent sys tem uncertainties. The developed controller guarantees a fast closed loop response independent from the connected working volume. In order to achieve a satisfactorily dis turbance behavior of the system a modified integrator was added to the control scheme. The effectiveness of the pro posed control strategy is illustrated by experimental results, which shows the high dynamic and stability of the pressure control using the Sliding Mode Control approach.
