Abstract

In this paper, we introduce new methods of modifying images to increase the perceptibility for color vision impaired users. The algorithms developed for this purpose utilize the common color spaces RGB and HSB. Within these color spaces, linear compressions are made which remove certain colors or increase the contrast between certain color ranges. These algorithms are a part of the open source Color Cruncher project, which allows users to adjust the display signal according to their needs.
