Grid dispatch, Doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG), Active power control, Simulation models
With the wind turbine capacity developing, the penetration of wind to the grid is continuously increasing. How to maintain the stability of grid is regarded as a crucial issue. With regard to this situation, an active power output control strategy based on grid dispatch is proposed in this paper. Firstly, this paper sets three different wind modes and uses a dispatchable wind power technology for tracking the grid dispatch. Secondly, a coordinated control system including mechanical part and power electronic converter for middle wind mode is designed. The simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the coordinated control strategy.
