This paper presents a new soil parameter automatically monitoring system to reflect their spatial and temporal relationships. With the datalogger CR1000 and the soil sensors including humidity, temperature and water content, this paper sets up a soil data ac- quisition device. After the program edited at CRBasic environment and sent to the datalogger, the automatic soil data acquisition can be achieved. The B/S of Hypertext Preprocessor server program- ming language, LNDB (Logger-Net Database) software, MySQL database, JavaScript programming language and Highcharts plugins are employed; and the synchronization among the data acquisition, data storage and data demonstration is programmed and completed. With the soil monitoring system deployed in different positions, the data acquisition demonstration and comparable trend analysis of soil parameters are shown and analysed. The stable, extendable and integrated soil parameter monitoring system can be applied to water cycle research, Internet of Things and other smart agriculture applications.
