Echo cancellation, Volterra filtering, Correlation LMS
In this paper, a new nonlinear echo cancellation approach is proposed to cancel adaptively acoustic echoes including nonlinear distortion and double talk in the acoustic echo path of loudspeakers, where a correlation LMS (CLMS) adaptation scheme is utilized along with third-order Volterra filtering. More specifically, a correlation function of the input signal, instead of an input signal itself, is utilized in the CLMS algorithm to yield better performance even in the double-talk environment. Finally, the simulation results show that the proposed nonlinear echo cancellation approach yields robust and good performance even in the double-talk situation.
